INSTANCE.DLL

A 32 bit version of the popular Instance based Machine Learning program, particularly for use with TradeStation 2000 and other 32 bit programs. The INSTANCE.DLL is used to add Pattern Matching facilities to Tradestation. The type of pattern matching supplied in this DLL is called Instance Based Learning (IBL), or nearest neighbour learning. IBL is a type of machine learning paradigm that fits somewhere between neural networks and linear regression. This system is based on IB1, a "classic" machine learning program.

Enhance Tradestation and SuperCharts programs by adding pattern matching capabilities. Match your past best trades with new data to gain added confidence to make the trade. Avoid situations like previous bad trades. Automate this pattern matching to find known patterns with known results.
Data Base The DLL uses a data base of previously stored cases to match new example with. A "closeness" or resemblance score is returned with a match. You can add as many or as few "important" examples to the data base as you like. With each case is stored a number or a past decision. The number may reflect a future price or some other value to be predicted. The decision may hold an action like buying or selling.
No Tedious Training Required. The Instance Based Learning techniques uses a simple distance metric to find "close" cases. It is the particular selection of stored cases that gives it power - not a training algorithm as with other techniques like neural networks.
Instance Based Learning has a proven history and been used successfully in many domains to do pattern matching, prediction and classification. A list of publications is provided to help you use the DLL more successfully.
Use with Historical and Real time systems. Do pattern matching with both Historical and Real time systems without changing the code.
Fast and Unlimited. The system uses a hashing scheme to store data and so lookup is fast. All memory is dynamically allocated and virtually unlimited, the only limits are what windows can supply.
Interfacing. The DLL can be used with any Windows application, not just Tradestation. A Visual Basic and C interface is provided so you can build custom applications linked to Tradestation. With the interface you can do complex calculations or add interfaces to your Tradestation systems.
Use with Hashnums32 DLL and Qlsnums32 DLL. This DLL can be used with Hashnums.dll and QlsNums.dll to provide an even more sophisticated Easy Language programming environment.
Debugging Tool A Visual Basic program is provided with an easy to use windows interface to the DLL. The program can be used to discover what the DLL can do without having to write any code. The program can also be used as a real time debugging tool.

Install Instructions: Unzip and run Setup. The program group InstServ32 will be added to your start menu. Read the License and ReadMe files, and then run InstServ32. It will prompt you for all registration details. Use the copy button to paste the registration details into an email to send to us for full or temporary registration.
